Abstract: A malaria transmission model is analyzed from an optimal design perspective. We illustrate the use of traditional and generalized sensitivity functions in order to get optimal data sampling strategies for estimating important parameters of the model. These strategies could be helpful in improving the accuracy of the estimated parameters and in reducing the costs of data collection. [hide abstract]
